2019: The Year of Living Fuller

2019: The Year of Living Fuller
OMG, Happy freaking 2019!

I hope you all had an amazing time ringing in the New Year! I know I definitely had the BEST night. This year Rob and I went to a legit nightclub to celebrate New Year’s Eve. I turned 25 at the end of November, and believe it or not, I had never been to an actual club before! #GrandmaStatus but really, I prefer grabbing drinks at a Sports Bar or somewhere with an outdoor patio when the weather is nice. So for us to get tickets to a nightclub was a huge change of pace but we had a ton of fun dressing up, staying out late, and meeting new people! This NYE was definitely one for the books.

I don’t know about you all, but there is something so refreshing about the start of a new year. I know I can technically start resolutions and goals any day and not just January 1st, but I find this time extra motivating. It is a time to push reset, create new resolutions and goals, and attempt to stick to them! 😉

Looking back on 2018 it was 100% a year of learning. I lived on my own in a new city, I bought a new car all by myself, later in the year I moved in with my sweet bf, and then at the end of it all, we moved to freaking Europe together! What an eventful year to look back on. I truly am thankful for all of the opportunities and challenges that came my way because it taught me so much. If you would’ve asked me on January 1st 2018, “What do you see yourself accomplishing this year?” or even, “Where do you see yourself at this time next year?”, it sure would not be this life I am living now! I cannot believe I, the worrywart, the anxiety-sufferer, the one who prefers comfortability, and the one who is a slightly nervous flyer would be here. How am I living in a new country, exploring all that the world has to offer, and creating a BLOG on top of everything? That is because I am capable of SO much more than what I have given myself credit for. We all are! For me, 2019 will be dedicated to living by that – living life more fuller! I hope the same for you as well. Let this next year be our best one yet. I am ready for it.

I thought I would share some of my goals for 2019 to give you all some inspo and because I find that when you share your goals with others it keeps you accountable + motivated to stick to them. P.S. these are in no particular order.
  • Drink More Water. Since moving to Germany, I just do not drink enough water! I am not totally sure what the reason for this is. When we first initially moved, we were going out to eat a lot and from what I have noticed it is not common to receive water when you sit down at restaurant, also water is not free or “complementary” here. Typically when you order water, they pour it from bottled water. Another factor that may contribute to my lack of h2o is that I walk and take public transportation to get to the grocery store. Therefore, it can get really heavy carrying water back. Regardless, I need to get better! My skin is begging for it that’s for sure.
  • Be Extra Positive. I have no idea when I became such a little negative-nelly but often I catch myself complaining or thinking negatively about a situation that isn’t “ideal” to me. I recently heard a quote by Wayne Dyer, “If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.” His quote really spoke to me because I am determined to make this year, my best year yet and in order to do so, I need to look at things in more positive mindset. Life is just too short for negativity, people.
  • Work out 3-4 x a Week. Okay, super cliché goal for the New Year, Tor. Yes, I know but this needs to happen. Last year was probably the most I have worked out since graduating high school six years ago, which is something I am not proud of. I more so want to do this for my health, mentally and physically. Your girl had a lot of stress last year and I need to exert that somehow. Also, I have plenty time to work out now that I am not working. So really, I have no excuse to not workout. I recently started following @Ashleigh_Jordan on Instagram and her videos have taught me a lot of weight lifting exercises. If you’re new to weights I definitely recommend checking her out.
  • Worry Less. I plan on worrying less about what people think and just overall in my day to day! I was hesitant to embark on this new journey of living abroad because of SO many different worries, like literally, hundreds of worries. I could write a whole blog post dedicated to all my worries I had coming into this. It will be two months in just a few short days and everything has been going great. I have come to realize that worrying adds unnecessary stress and everything will work out in the end. Believe it or not I was extremely nervous about creating a blog! I realized it was mainly because I was too worried about other people's opinions, but this is something I truly enjoy doing so this is the year I stop holding myself back!
  • Create, create, create. I am most excited for this goal! I can't wait to produce awesome content on my blog + my social media platforms. The key for this goal is going to be consistency. If you're thinking about creating something this year, go for it!

Where do you see yourself this time next year? What would you like to accomplish this year? Feel free to share in the comment section or send me a message, I'd love to hear! And whatever your goals may be I hope that you find the courage and motivation to do so! Here’s to an amazing 2019. #LiveMoreFuller
