Hi friends! It is a HOT one today! Today's high is 97 degrees in the Chicagoland. Despite the heat I am loving every second of being home in the USA. We have our flight back to Germany tomorrow evening and I don't even want to think about leaving home!
Yesterday we drove back from my hometown in Rock Island where I was visiting my family and friends. I had the most amazing time spending time with everyone and it was super hard to leave. This time was also a little different because my parents are selling our home and moving to Florida. So, this trip home was my last time spending the night in my childhood home. As I was sad to say goodbye, I am sooo excited for my parents and brothers on their next adventure. I'm already planning my trip to Florida.
After we got back to the suburbs, we got ready and headed out on the town with some of our best friends. Yesterday was just as hot so I wanted to wear something light but still cute. I recently purchased these high waisted polka dot shorts from Nordstrom and I am obsessed! They are PERFECT for date nights, girls dinner, or even at the office. They're flowy but with a good amount of coverage. The frill on the shorts give it even more of a feminine touch!

You are perfect! I am so happy you were able to enjoy your time in your homeland but so sad I was not able to physically see you. I can't wait until you visit us in Florida! I love you more than you'll ever know!!!
